Family Housing: The Monson Housing Authority’s 705 program accommodates fourteen families and consists of, 4 three-bedroom apartments and 10 two-bedroom apartments.
Elderly and Non-Elderly Disabled Housing: Colonial Village consists of 78 units, 39 first floor, two which are handicapped accessible and 39 second floor units are available. There are no elevators. Each apartment is 1 bedroom, with a living room/kitchen combination and bathroom. A coin operated laundry room is located on the premises in the Community Building. Persons who are least 60 years of age are considered elderly. Non-elderly low income persons with one or more physical or mental impairments may be determined eligible for ch. 667 housing if the impairment is considered to be long and continued duration; and if the private market is unavailable to provide the applicant with the necessary architectural design features and forces him or her to live in decadent, substandard housing and pay excessive rents.
