Sage House is a shelter providing substance abuse treatment and supportive services for seven homeless families who participate in the program for 9 to 12 months. Clients and their children receive a variety of supports including relapse prevention groups, group and individual counseling, and vocational training. Staff assists families in acquiring permanent, affordable housing, as well as medical, education, vocational, and social services and referrals. 9-12 month program for sobriety for families with children. Advocacy, counseling, referral, some food, some clothing. Homeless Families must contact their local Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) office to be determined Emergency Assistance Eligible (EA Eligible). Once eligible the local DTA office will refer the family to the Institute for Health and Recovery who will do an evaluation and determine placement.
