Rogerson Communities has begun renovation and expansion of the fourth and final building on the historic Home for Aged Couples site in Egleston Square. Cooper House (formerly known as the Badger Building) is attractive housing for 161 low-income households.
Two units are fully wheelchair accessible:The entry is by means of an accessible path; the doors have levered handles; and, the kitchen is designed for wheelchair use with open countertops, a wall oven, and lower level storage. The bath includes special grab bars, a hand held shower, and mirrors set at a lower level. The halls and doorways are extra wide.
