Pittsfield YMCA Berkshire County and Scattered Site

A 35 unit program providing rental assistance at the YMCA and in 3 three bedroom units in Pittsfield and 2 one bedroom units in Great Barrington. The program provides rental assistance to low income families and disabled and elderly individuals in specific rental units throughout Berkshire County. The program enables eligible applicants to obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing at an affordable amount. Applicants must meet established income limits and meet additional state and federal regulations and selection requirements. Clients receiving assistance through the Section 8 moderate rehabilitation program pay 30% of their monthly income as their share of the rent. The remaining portion of the rent is paid directly to the landlord in the form of a housing assistance payment on or about the first of every month. All units must pass an inspection and be in compliance with applicable lead paint laws.
